Outlook "Web-Based" Email Calenders

I have a user running Outlook Web-Based Email and I need to allow another user running the standard MS Outlook package to have access to her calender, I have been informed that calender sharing is not avalible when using web-based, is this correct?
I'm thinking that the calender can be shared from the user running the standard Outlook package if she was to open a shared calender, but does this need to be shared from the web based user? would this allow her to view the calender of the user running web-based email?
Is it at all possible to share a calender using web-based email? Please any help is appreciated, sorry if this thread has posted twice!
