hi all. hope someone can help.

after about 1 minuet of opening outlook express an error messege comes up saying 'outlook express has encounterd a problem and needs to close' it then askes if i want to send an error report. weather i say yes or no it closes outlook express. this is what the error report says...

App name : msimn.exe
AppVer : 6.0.2800.1106
ModName : directdb.dll
ModVer : 6.0.2600.0
offset : 000060cb

now im quite new to computers so this meens absolutly nothing to me. ive asked friends and they have said my firewall might be interfering with outlook but ive uninstalled and reinstalled it and still nothing.

i really am at my whits end and would appreciate any help. this has now been going on for 3 months!!!!!!!!!

Hello, there is a microsoft knowledge base article here that seems to be what you are experiencing.

If you encounter problems that you cannot resolve, it is often beneficial to uninstall Internet Explorer and then reinstall it. This procedure replaces files that might have been damaged.

In Windows, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.

Notes

If you are using Windows XP, click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
If you upgraded to Internet Explorer 6, when you uninstall Internet Explorer 6, you will go back to the version of Internet Explorer that was on your computer before you upgraded.
