I noticed that whenever I restore my hard drive from a backup image that my emails are always gone. It's as if Outlook Express copied them locally and then deleted them off the server. Is there a way I can force outlook express to leave my emails on the server until I really WANT to delete them?

It could be that when you restore the settings in OE Tools>Accounts>Properties>Advanced are being reset. For some God forsaken reason the default setting in OE is to delete files from the server when the program closes. Try disconnecting your computer from the telephone line/Broadband before opening OE after a restore, and make sure the Advanced settings are to leave copy on server either always or for however many days you may require.
