Hi,
does anyone have the same problem?
I have a laptop that is very up to date.
My problem is: When I type email messages in Outlook Express(5.5),
I get 3 or 4 a's or t's, etc. ( I'mmm havvvinng thhis kiindd of
ppprobblem). Very annoying and time consuming!
I have slowed everything down as much as possible using the
keyboard icon in the control panel.
When typing anything in M/S Word, this problem doesn't exist.
I can't find any adjustment to fix this problem anywhere in
Outlook Express.
Does anybody have the same experience?
Thanks in advance for your input. Ann

No I haven't had that problem.

I downloaded a Y2K fix a couple of years ago. It systematically went through all my files and folders and changed the Y to a K.

eg; My Favorites became Mk favorites...what a mess.

Ann- welcome to the forum! Haven't seen this problem myself, but I believe I remember someone complaining of something similar on this forum. Do a search and so will I.

Anyone else remember the thread?

Rob- I found that funny. Do you also have a problem with Cheerio's getting stuck in your serial ports?

Thank you all for taking the time to reply.
Sofar, I haven't found anything in Outlook Express to make any changes in the keyboard.
The problem seems to be more severe after the computer (laptop) has been on for a while.
So, maybe it's hardware related. Will try to contact the builder and hope for a resolution. Again, thanks for your suggestions, Ann

It sounds like you’re the heavy-handed type. I suggest a hardcore finger weight loss program.

Ha, ha, thedeuce ...I'll work on that!
Actually, in the meantime I had a chance to try the same thing on another computer and everything is ok there.
The problem with my laptop seems to get worse after it had a chance to warm up more.
Our builder has not emailed back yet. So, I'll just have to call.
Again, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to write. Ann
