hello frnd..i have copaq laptop with Vista home basic liscence copy..but there many softwares which not run on it..so i required to convert into windows Xp..but for that is it necessary to install bios update..or can i install xp directly..

If it runs Vista it shouldn't have any probs with XP. Read up on the XP driver probs before taking the leap.
