Opera Problems

Well, since Opera recently released their software as completely free, I decided I'd give it a go.

Well, unfortunately, when I start it up, and try to go to google, I get a "Could not connect to remote server" error.

Firefox is working just fine, as you can see..

any ideas about what might be wrong?

Are you behind a proxy-server like Ghost Surf has?

nope.

firefox worked right out of a fresh install, so I have no idea what the problem is.

Are the Firewall permissions for Opera OK?

Go figure... its just started working...

I hate this computer, stuff just seems to randomly quit working and then start again.
