I've had IE9, runing on Windows 7 ever since it came out. It's spontaneously started doing something which is not harmful, but a pain in the neck. Every time I click on the blank tab on the right of all the other tabs, rather than taking me to a blank page, it opens the first tab of my "home" set of tabs. It's just annoying, and I'm wondered if I clicked on something I shouldn't have.

Thanks,

Carl

That's how its supposed to work. You can customize the page as you see fit.

Hi Carl

Select the tools gear in the upper right-hand side of the Internet Explorer Window

Then Select Internet Options

Under the General Tab select the Tabs button down in the middle of the Window

There is a pull-down menu halfway down that says when a new tab is opened, open:

Change to The new tab page.
