I have tried to open an attachment and it is a DOC file. When I try, it comes up that "This file does not have a file associated with it for preforming this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel.
Please help.........

Hi.
Try this:
-Go to "start" button, right click [r/c]
-Select "Explore"
-Go to "Tools" on top tool bar
-Select "Folder Options"
-select "File Types" tab
-select "New"
-type "doc"
-select "ok"

See if that will open your .doc extension attachment.

Thanks for replying but......I get down to Folder Options and then there is no File types

Well that's your problem! .doc is an Office extension for Word documents. Some other programs can open it though. OpenOffice.org can open and work with .doc files and is free.
