Hello there,
I have had a problem that's been bothering me for days, when every I try playing any online multiplayer game (except for Left 4 Dead), after just a few seconds on any server i disconnect over and over again no matter how many times i try. Please help me :sigh:

Make sure your anti-virus and firewall are not blocking the game, also, you can try opening some ports, what is your router's make and model?

I got no AV or firewall and my modem is a Thomson TCM425 and i have no idea how to open ports

You should probably get an Anti-virus, as it will protect you from almost anything.
If you do get one, do a full scan immediately.

And I want your ROUTER name not modem, please.

i dont have a router i've been using a modem for about 3-4 years and it work fine

Oh, you really cannot play online with a modem as the connection speed is too slow and most new games do not support them

The ports may be similar for Left 4 Dead as Half Life 2, so try using this guide.

I've been playing for more then a year on CoD4 and had no problem till last week so i don't think its the modem. And L4D works fine but thanks anyways

Not sure if you reconized me from the other forum, but I just replied there, and the make and model of your modem and router would be helpful for opening ports.
