first off, when i check my startup screen, there seems to be some startup items i do not recognize. in the first pic there are 3, RTHDCPL.exe, which im guessing is the program for my realtek high definition card, but im not sure what the others are. and in the second pic, theres one thats completely blank, and theres one that says NA which im guessing has to do something with my wireless network setup.

Well you can always Google and find out what the items are.
rthdcpl.exe is a process belonging to the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel and is bundled alongside Realtek sound cards and audio hardware.

recguard.exe is a process from HP that prevents a user from deleting or corrupting the WinXP Recovery Partition on Hewlett Packard computers.

alcmtr.exe is a process installed alongside Realtek AC97 audio hardware and provides a monitoring service. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems

The one that is completely blank, I would be concerned it maybe stome type of malware.

Wouldn't worry about it. Many people will find a black process in msconfig. I have it on all my machines. You can look at it in the registry and it has no value. If it bothers you disable it from msconfig.
