This is really bad!
My old 80GB drive was failing so i got a new 160GB one, put it in, copied everything over and even got my old windows installation up and running on the new drive but then suddenly, when i reset, at startup it said "Boot disk not found" or something and then when i loaded the OS on the old faulty HDD all the space on the new drive which had 50GB+ worth of precious data on it and the partitions have disappeared!! How could this happen within a matter of seconds?!! Is the the boot sector or something? I had two different windows installations on the new drive in two partitions but when I put the Win XP cd in and run the Recovery console it doesnt find anything!
HELP!!!!
