didn't see exactly what I was looking for.

Ok...
I've got (Habit I suppose for last five or six years) Trend Micro's Internet Security 2011 (Titanium I believe they call it now)
It's never been a bad program IMO. It's not a resource hog like Norton or McAfee. And it seems to be doing a great job...99.99% of the time.

This leads me to my actual question.

Is it wise, advisable, or meaningless to add another Malware Scanner (not Virus scanner...malware) to run in concert with the TMIS?

I keep running into small snippets of articles here and there talking about various malware scanners which, ostensibly, are not virus scanners but look specifically for things that would get past a virus scanner because...well, hell..I'm the hardware guy..if I knew this crap, I wouldn't be asking the question here....lol.....

Bottom line..
Is it a good idea to run some sort of Malware scanner along with an existing Virus Scanner/Firewall? And if so...
Is one better than another?
I've seen a few or 20 different malware removers...I'm guessing some are better than others?

Hi

Yes it's always a good idea to use a variety of scanners - not every programme will catch everything.

Have a look here for some suggestions.
