well i run windows xp and i am not much of a computor guy so i dont know my way around my comp like you guys, anyways here is my problem, i downloaded a file and i didnt scan it befor i installed it ( i know im stupid:dead: ) now i when i click on my desktop icons or any .exe file i get a warning that says this: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the Folders Options controll panel". so if i want to run programs i have to right click them and click run as and stuff, so can you plz help me fix this or tell me tell me to go to a computor shop or sumthin. thank you for your time.

Have you scanned your computer since you installed it? If not try that.

You could also run scandisk and see if that straightens it out.

well i ran the checkdisk thing like you said, but itdonts find anything and also i ran my virus scaner and it didnt find nothin, so i dont know whats going on :confused: .....

oh and thank you for the kind welcoming :D
