Just wanting to find out what specifically it looks like is happening here, from the point of view of somebody with a bit more experience than myself. Long story short: There's a slight chance when launching, minimizing, or maximizing video-related windows like games that these odd green and pink marks start to appear on screen. If I don't lessen the load on my GPU quickly, it usually ends up with a BSOD within 10-15 seconds. The funny looking marks appear more often the longer it has been since my computer restarted properly.

My related computer specs:
Operating System
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 531MHz (7-7-7-20)
Motherboard
Dell Inc. 0200DY (CPU)
Graphics
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6570 (MSI)

I appreciate any information, thanks!

Thanks for helping, right now I can't seem to find those numbers in my PC analyzer (Speccy), my windows boot diagnostic gets stuck in a permanent loop, and I don't have a disc drive to boot from for MemTest. Any other ideas of how I can get you that information?

Well like I said, the only thing I could find that looked like it might have those numbers was the diagnostic section within the bios, but as I said that resulted in an endless loop scanning the same thing over and over. I'll try it again when I get home though.

Well I went through every possible category and feature in my boot menu, (and found some nice features, like staying off after a power outage), but never did I see such a collection of numbers. Even fixed the looping error just to see if there was a statistics screen at the end of the test it couldn't complete that contained the information you asked for. I've even spent several hours combing through the thing's manual and google search results, trying to find out where to see that information. You're gonna have to help me get the answer to your question. Who knows, maybe I'm just an idiot and it's something simple.

Very strange that the BIOS doesn't have those values.

Chances are that since the games are crashing in a BSOD when loading the game, its either bad driver or the PSU cannot supply enough power.

When was the last time the driver was fully reinstalled?

Drivers were my first accusation.. I've done full reinstalls three times, with the last one being a month ago. The problem definitely improved (attempting to take a screenshot of the visual error used to crash the gpu instantly), but it's by no means gone. I've even gone to the lengths of installing a driver scanner/controller reluctantly. The weirdest thing about the crashing is that because I can always see it coming from the green marks, I can always alt-f4 my game then wait for the marks to slowly go away as I sit at the desktop. When I noticed this behavior is when I thought it was a heat issue, but I went and got a program to monitor heat levels and it showed that nothing ever got within dangerous levels. (Never more than 70C).

Yea I guess I might as well since I have AMD's driver controller now. I usually avoid programs like that because I know they've got a lot of control of your system and I don't trust that. I'm at work again, but I should be home in roughly 5 hours

Sorry for not updating. I tried the driver remover and everything seems to be running a little bit smoother once I got the freshest drivers. The green marks still appear but only after closing a game now. I just simply wait for them to disappear before launching another game, so no BSOD anymore. Let me know if you have any other ideas for fixing the green marks. I can live with them for now honestly, I just wanted to make sure at least I tried to fix it.

If you're getting artifacts on the desktop after heavy GPU usage, it's probably a hardware problem - graphics card memory chips, overheating under stress or underpowered.

Do you get any artifacts during POST (after switching on, before Windows appears) or in BIOS?

If there are no readings in BIOS, what are the CPU/graphics temps and +12V voltages in Speccy or HWMonitor while playing a fullscreen game when the artifacts begin to appear?
