your description of the problem is a little fuzzy.

i mean, i totally understand that your power supply and your motherboard don't fit each other, but could you possibly describe the brand and model of those two peices of hardware?

and, you might find that the connector on the power supply is made to come apart into a 20 and a 4, like a few of our members have been happy to discover.

if not, come on back and list the brand and model of the power supply and motherboard, and we will see what sort of a solution you need.

Welcome to TSF:

Unfortunately you didnt get a case and PSU for $49.00 >>> what you REALLY got is a case for $49.00 !!!! The PSU's that come with such an arrangement are VERY problematic generic poor perfroming PSU's, even if it powers up your system it wont run for long !!

I strongly advise you buy an Enermax or Antec PSU of about 500 watts and save yourself one pile of headaches and maybe even some burned out computer componets / The role of the PSU is as vital as the CPU and should be bought with the same evaluation process (the best you can afford !!)

check on ebay or newegg.com

this one will go cheap >>

This is a real race horse ~~ ready to run

These PSU's come ready equipped with BOTH 20 & 24 pin configurations for any mobo !!
