I stalled a nVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256MB DDR PCI Video card,And everything said it is working right but it has not speeded up (Rendering) in my Studio Ultimate.Everything looks the same to me.I have a Dimension 3000 with 400w P.S. ,1 Gb. memory.I thought this would speed things up? Do I need to turn something on? I disabled the sound card that came in the computer in Device Manager. Thanks,Bill

I dont think a video card would speed up rendering time. A video card just improoves the live graphics on the screen. Not to mention a fx5500 is a pretty old card. The best pci video card made is a radeon x1550. If you want to speed up rendering time i would say upgrade your cpu, from the looks of it right now you have a celeron d 2.66ghz.

what they said, graphics card won't improve rendering, setting a higher FSB and getting some 6400 speed memory might.....

oh wait, you have a dell. I remmeber that nightmare. You can't do anything then really to solve your problem except spring bout 800 or so for a custom computer.
