In all honesty the FX series are crap. When you installed the new drivers did you remove the old ones first?
nvidia 5500 problems
I just purchased a new nvidia fx5500 256mb, 128bit, 270mhz core clock ....
when i play cs (1.6) i have problems. firstly it is limited to 60fps which is wot i got on my old 32 mb nvidia secondly opengl sometimes has delay on the video....i.e i move the mouse or straife and it shows up a little bit later. this used to happen on my old video card when i ran d3d but it would run fine on opengl. On d3d the new video card shows up blank. i downloaded the latest driver and havent played with any settings ........why is my new video card so crap :4-dontkno ?

i didnt at first when i installed the driver that came with it but when i installed the latest driver i made sure i did.
and crap or not they gotta work better then an old riva tnt2 32mb one
