ntoskrnl.exe controls the boot screen and can be used by a virus (w32.bolzano?)
Keep it blocked by your firewall for now and run some antivirus checks.

Thanks Koala,
Have AVG full-time and have scanned with Ewido and AVK.
Also Spybot, SpywareGuard, SpywareBlaster and Ad-Aware, everything came back clean except for the typical cookies (adware).

Wonder if it's got something to do with MS and product activation (anti-piracy)?
