Ok so heres my problem,i decided to reinstall windows xp and during the installation it stops at 48% and after giving it 5 minutes it didnt move on,so i took the disc out and gave it a wipe thinking some dirt was the problem,i put the cd back in and waited for it to continue to no avail. So i was left with no other option than to switch the pc off and start it up again, when i do this it comes up with ntldr is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart,i need to access the windows xp setup but i cant because this error keeps coming up instead of press any key to boot from windows disc which i need.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem,id appreciate any help,my specs are as follows

amd athlon 64 3500+
1gb ram
nvidia 6600gt
250gb sata hd
a8n sli premium motherboard.

I don't think the Bios boot order uses the term 'CDBOOT' - in the manual I have it reads '1st Boot Device' etc and [CDROM] can be selected.

Are you using an OEM XP disk or a recovery disk?

I have set the cdrom to boot first and im using a windows XP installion disc,it comes up with the CDBOOT:couldnt find ntldr instead of going to the "press any key to boot from cd" so its preventing me from being able to format the hd or to go the recovery console.
