Hi,
My secondary HD is not reading its file system and is asking me to format it anytime I try and view its content.
Is there any way I can force it to fat32 or ntfs without damaging its contents? Theres about 6gb of very important files on the hard drive so formatting it is not an option!
In win2k disk management it is viewed as healthy(upgrading it to Dynamic disk made no difference)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Upgrading it to a dynamic disk probably is why it's no longer seen! That's not a valid move for a FAT32 filesystem, I'm surprised it didn't choke on the command!

You probably need to be looking at disk data recovery applications, I'd stop doing anything that attempts to write to the drive, that's not going to do the data any good!
