I looked hard on the Forum menu, but never found a home for this, so I hijacked this section in hope.
I have used NoScript for years with Firefox. No problems. But NoScript and Chrome are bad medicine and refuse to play with each other. So I installed the Chrome extension ScriptSafe. Again no problem.
The problem I have with both of these programs is that they block free navigation on almost every site. On some sites it does not interfere, but on many it does. I have to fully Allow, Trust, temporarily allow etc. in order to continue my free access to the playground.
My question is :- If I end up giving the key to the convict every time he wants to spread his legs, what is the purpose of having a jailer ? May as well dump these programs, they seem a waste of time. But then, I am hoping that you will explain this personal conundrum.
If I had a massive steel barrier around my property in order to stop those naughty wandering Hippo`s from entering and converting it into a Hiroshima look-a-like landscape, my admittedly inferior wisdom tells me that it would not be good practice to temporarily open the gate when they ask to come in.
