hi all,

i plan to purchase a sonicwall firewal at work. my question is, is the sonic wall also a router besides just a firewall?

here is the link to the router i plan to purchase:
http://www.sonicwall.com/products/tz170.html

here at work we have about 15computers hook to a 24port linksys switch. the switch is then hook to a Dlink 4port wireless/wired router. and then the router is hook to a DSL connection.

by looking at all of the features of a sonicwall firewall, its seems as it is a router but im asking just in case. thanks for all the inputs!!

i plan to purchase this to replace the Dlink router.

Yep, but as I recall, they charge more for the ability to handle more connections. Note the reference to 10 nodes, 25 nodes and unlimited in their product brief. It's not like a standard router that will handle several hundred connections if you're patient.
