Hi All,
I have SIEMENS Gigaset SE 587 Modem ADSL router for Tiscali broadband. My desktop was connected it via ethernet network cable. I have an internet on my desktop. No problem.
I have another DELL Inspiron 2600 notebook. The notebook can connect to the internet using ethernet cable easily.
Problem is on wireless networking. The notebook has got PCMCIA wireless lan card. I installed the PCMCIA's driver. It can see the tiscali wireless network and signal strength is good, But cannot connect to the internet. I definitily entered right WEP code. I went through the router 192.168.1.1 and changed security mode. But no luck. Even I disabled security and tried to connect it. Still NO internet.
Also, I tried to connect my daughter's Nintendo DS to the router. DS can see the Tiscali wireless network. But no connection. DS said "Unable to obtain an IP address. Move within range of the access point or check DHCP settings."
What is wrong in my settings?
P.S. I did manage to connect my DELL laptop to the internet wirelessly using the PCMCIA first time. It was working. After 2 days' later it stopped to work.
