Hi I just finished building my first computer and I am not starting to use it.
I just plugged in my headphones (don't have speakers yet) to try to listen to some music. When I plugged the head phones it, I heard the crackle that means the headphones are getting power. I checked the settings, the computer is trying the play the sound through my monitors, which have no speakers on them.

Any idea on how to fix it so the sound will come out of the headphones would be much appreciated.

System specs:
ASUS PQ5 Pro Turbo (LGA 775)
GTX 260
8gb ram
Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor x2
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz
Antec 1200 case

Runnign windows 7 64-bit

Edit: I plugged the headphones into the rear jack for speakers and i'm getting sound. front is still not working

Did you connect the case Front Panel (Audio-USB) headers to the Mobo?
