Hello,
unfortunately i have a problem with my old pc, i have a motherboard gigabyte ga g1975x that has onboard sound sb live! 24bit (ca0106 chip). I am on windows 7 and i currently have no sound. That is with the drivers from the windows update, from the drivers at creative site, 1.04.0099 and 1.04.0077 , also the daniel_k support pack and at last the creative p17 from gigabyte site give bsod when i installed them. I used to have windows 7 32bit on this pc b4 and i had sound but after a format i did i cant find the correct drivers anymore and its really annoying.
thanks for your help

Incorrect drivers. Gigabyte doesn't offer any Win7 drivers for that board. If Win7 isn't finding the correct drivers, I don't know that there is anything else that you can do. Creative very likely doesn't offer the drivers as they don't typically support OEM hardware. Vista drivers will sometimes work, but Gigabyte doesn't have any Vista audio drivers available either.
