a self powered hub should fix it
No power from usb
I have a notebook that I am now using as my primary computer. It is really an excellent computer but I have one problem. It will not sync with my pocket pc through the USB port. Other usb devices work and my ppc synchs with desktop computers. The other use devices are low power devices - I am guessing for some reason my usb ports are not willing to dole out the power.
Is there some option in Windows that I can change so I can use my ppc with my notebook? Another option I was thinking about was getting an extrernal usb hub and getting a 5v battery pack to connect to it. Do you think that would do the trick? Are there other options?

Thanks! When you say "self powered" do you mean "ac adapter" included or do they already make them with batteries, i.e. "dc"?
