Hi everyone, this is my first post. Great forum and loads of useful help which is nice for a change.

I have recently had my PC decide to not give any video signal on the original graphics card, so I bought an ATI X1550 (PCI Express) as a replacement. Thing is I plug it in and the system fires up, but no display.

When I connect the monitor lead to it, it realises there is a signal and the warning on my monitor disappears. Getting frustrated with it now as there isn't even an onboard VGA output to use :sigh:

If anyone can shed some light on the situation and help it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Do you have enough power to run the new card? What brand and
wattage is the power supply. Is there a extra power lead for the
new video card, and is it plugged in? Have you tried getting into
safe mode? If so go to device manager and check for any red or
yellow flags....

There is no external power lead that should be connected as I had another computer with an AGP Card with the type you are mentioning.

I think the processor has now gone thinking about it, as I am not getting the start-up "beep" anymore. Infuriated with this blasted FS Scaleo now.
