A few months ago my computer crashed, and my hard drive went bust.
After the new hard drive had been put in, everything seemed to be fine, even a number of my old files could be retrieved.
However, since then I am unable to get any sound off the internet, i.e. no YouTube, no preview of music files that I may be interested to download etc.
Audacity and Olympus Digital Wave Player do not reproduce any sound either. :4-dontkno
It can't be the sound card, because Windows Media Player and iPlayer are doing perfectly well.
My computer is working on XP and Windows Office 2003.
Please ask for more details if necessary.

Is there anybody who had the same problem and found a solution???

Thanks for helping!

Hi

I recently had problems with the sound on my computer as well, though I suspect that my sound issues were different from yours. Somehow I solved the error, and you can see what I tried in the thread "Suddenly very low sound" here. Perhaps this will be useful for you as well?

Cheers
