I am running windows 2000 pro and have an Iwill 2600 motherboard. My keyboard and mouse flash during boot up and bios seems to be working normally, only when I hit "delete" to enter the bios settings, nothing happend. It just conintues on in the boot process until it gets to the point where windows is supposed to come up and then it just sits there with a blank screen. That is until I hit "delete" and then windows starts up immediatly. Once up all aprears to be normal except that now it's back to not receiving any commands from either my keyboard or my mouse. Any ideas what's going on here? Any suggestions will be greatly apreciated.

I really don't think the keyboard is the problem. Why else would my computer accept "delete" to break the stall and bring up windows at the same exact point every time during the boot process? Also, I don't think that explains why my mouse is not working either after windows comes up, yet all my devices flash on during the boot up.

It's no bother at all if you have other suggestions :)

If ps/2 means a small, round female conncetor that's flattened on one side with several small round holes fallowing the circular shape surrounding a rectangular hole next to the flattened side then that would be it on both counts.

Yeah, I'm suprised it worked at all as well. That's why it never occured to me that it was plugged in to the wrong port. I have been trying to diagnose other hardware problems and so I have been pugging and unplugging my mouse and keyboard because the chords were too chort for me to spin my CPU around to gain a more comfortable access to the motherboard. I can't believe I have been fretting this problem for over a week now. I have sooooo much egg on my face.
