I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, The Print Shop 22, and PrintMaster Platinum 17, discs on a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, running Vista OS. I keep getting an error message, "No disc in drive".
I googled this and was directed to a Vista Solutions Microsoft site. There I followed their instructions to download something from them which would automatically check out my computer and got 'Error 500' it could not download. I'm through with Microsoft's 'help'.

Try uninstalling your driver(s) for your cd/dvd (you don't specify but I'm assuming) player and restarting your machine. One of two things should happen:

1. Your computer finds your cd/dvd player and all is well (the drives should reinstall themselves)
2. Your computer does not find your player and you have a hardware issue

I'm assuming because you can put cds/dvds into your player, the first should happen. However in case of option 2 you should take it in to get repaired.
