Hi, this is my first post and any help would be really appreciated.

My other PC is not dislpaying anything to the monitor when it boots up. I know that it does boot because it shows up on the network, and it shuts down when I use the right key stokes on the keyboard.

The only problem is that nothing is displayed on the monitoreither bios or the o/s. I have ruled out faults with the monitor, vga cable and graphics card, as they all work fine with my main PC, and now I don't know where to go from here. Please help!

Does your PC have an on-oard VGA?

If it is a prebuilt like a HP or Dell what Brand and Model?
If it is a custom build list the Brands and Models of the PSU, MB, Video Card, CPU?

De Laurentius - yes it does have on-board vga as well, no joy.

wrench97 - it is a Dell Dimension C521.

If you remove the dedicated card and try the integrated does it work then?

Thanks. That's got it working. Any idea how to get the graphics card to work though?

Normally I would think bad card however you tested it on another pc correct?
What card do you have?

It's a ATI Radeon X1300, and yes it works fine in my main PC.

Somewhere in BIOS there must be an option to deactivate the on-board VGA. Try not to let any "auto" for any video option if possible, brand computers often understand to give you headaches by auto.
