Ok, got a PC to fix but totally stuck with it.

When I press the power button this is what does and does not happen.
Lights all come one
Fans all spin
HDD does not start at all
Nothing comes up on the monitor
No POST beeps

I suspect it is either a dead motherboard or processor. I have tried all the connections and basic stuff like resetting bios and everything else i could think of.

Any help will be much appreciated.

The computer is not one I have built, so wont be anything incompatible with other components.

Its a Packard Bell Legend 4040. It has;
An Intel Celron Processor (don't know speed cause i cant get the computer on to look :p)
256MB Infineon RAM.
Motherboard is a P61WF (no idea who makes it, not looked it up yet)

Anyway, I have tried the thing out of the case, with and without RAM. And still never get a post screen. So I know it is either the motherboard (With onboard graphics), processor.

Was just wanting to know if you guys knew exactly which one it was just so i can tell the guy what he needs to buy.

P.S. Any possible solutions are welcome, though pretty sure the thing is dead.

Such an old PC..
I'd suggest your Power Supply testing and swapping that out first.

I had a computer that did the same thing, popped out the Power Supply and threw in a new one and it was up and running.
