I run off a HP Pavilion m9150f PC. A few days ago my computer stopped recognizing my sound card. (probably because I had a virus) Regardless, I removed the virus and yet the problem continued. I figured I'd skip any hassle by upgrading to Win7 thinking that would fix the problem and still nothing. I've been all over HP's website and I cannot find the correct driver. In the device manager it shows my sound card as an unknown device and when I try to upgrade the driver it can never find anything. I've tried everything I can think of. Please help!

Can you try removing the card (power off first) and the putting it back in (make sure it's properly slotted in) and then reboot.

The go to Device Manager and see if it's showing there. If it is, Right click on it and choose 'Update Driver'
