WOW!!!! 256DDR:D Got to get me one when it comes out.... I have no problem dishing out 400 for a card like that!!!
3DLABS released WildCat VP990 and that has 512MB of memory!
512!!! That's fuc*ing amazing!!! I'm a big time gamer and always looking for the best video card so I could run at higher res without compromising performance...

That's more memory then the average desk top....
uhh, the Wildcat Series isn't for gaming, it's specific for workstation 3d-appliction uses (like 3d cat apps, 3dsmax, etc.)

so don't get it if you plan to use it for games.

the previous wildcat (with 4 processors) series only got like ~30fps on Q3
That sucks:mad:   . I take it that there is no way of cchanging the FPS for it huh??? I do, so a lot of graphics stuff with Dreamweaver and Fire works but I want a video card that could handle games as well as graphic intensive apps...

I guess I'll have to wait for Nvidia to come out with there new chipset that could handle 512mb.....
I read that 3DLABS is competing with ATI & Nvidia. WildCat is for workstations but I read that the WildCat VP series is for gaming.
Plus check there website for more infomation. www.3dlabs.com

I actually found this this morning when you first talked about the PV990, just to see if it followed in the area of workstaion graphics like it's predecessors, and yes it does.

Does it say anything on the page like "screaming gaming graphics". Do a text find on the page it doesn't even have the word 'game' in there.
