I have a 2 year old Gateway MX7340 laptop that will not start up. When I hit the power button the blue light comes on but just a black screen and I can hear the fan but nothing else. As if nothing is starting up. Battery seems Ok and power cord is good. If I put in a music CD, I can hear it start but of course no music. Probably because I can't even log in as a user.

Do you think I lost the hard drive or what??? JC
