Changing the Mobo in a laptop is not an easy task.
Going to an i7 Mobo and DDR3 RAM build is not going to give you any noticeable increase in performance.
What is the PC primarily used for?

Mobo; Asus P5QPro; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131299

That will use the DDR2 RAM you have. Multiple Grahics cards is a waste of money and you will not see any real performance gain.
I believe it's something like 10% and that's benchmarking, not what you'll see.
A DDR3 graphics card will run on a Mobo using DDR2.
For gaming, a Dual Core CPU would have been a better way to go.
I hope you have changed PSU's and are not using the one that came with the Dell box.
