I just bought a new computer, and have had it for less than 7 days, on the fifth day it would not start and I came to the conclusion through some testing that the HDD would not boot no matter what I do, I have these specs

Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core Processor QX6850
Asus P5N-T Deluxe NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound
4096MB [2048MB X2] DDR2-1066 PC2 8500
500GB WD 7,200 HDD (Dead)
Running Vista 64 Home Premium

I was wondering if there was a way to recover the HDD, I have used a vista 32 bit and 64 bit and a linix recovery cd also, it get to the boot screen gets about 97% complete and stops loading. I let it set for a hour to see if it was a load time thing but no change. Im most likely going to just send it in for a replacement, but if there is a way to recover it it would make my life easier.

if you are unable to boot with a linux boot cd or unable to boot to the recovery portion of the vista cds then there is something else going on. You have other problems. Are you able to get into bios? Does it see your drive?

yep, sure does that was the testing I preformed, I can load my bios and edit anything but when it comes time to load the OS from the HDD it completely fails to do so. If I disconnect the HDD load it I can then use a boot cd of any type, but that does not help me does it.
