Hi,

I just bought a new advent pc it has a HDMI port at the back so i bought just the tower so i could use it with my Samsung HDTV. I have a HDMI cable, stuck it in the pc an HDTV but when i go over to channel HDMI1 or HDMI2 it wont show anything :4-dontkno. The pc is on so is the tv i tried both ports but i cant see anything.....I am a noob on all this stuff i don't know which category to put this in soz! Please help me see my pc screen on my HDTV!

i have both hdmi ports on my pc and tv, this is why i am only using a hdmi cable and nothing else, but i cant see anything.

You have to plug a normal monitor in first and activate the hdmi output in the videocard settings once the machine is booted. Best not to listen to those tech store guys (geek squad , fire dog , pc world , ect....).

Have you checked the display settings in Control Panel?

check your samsung manual

i use a samsung hd tv and the hdmi ports are only for connecting dvd ect

pc has to use vga port

thanks guys im gonna buy a vga cable 2day see if that works. Im going to try and push video output onto the hdmi port. Let you know how t goes.
