Got word earlier today of a new virus - so new it hasn't been named yet. It comes in via e-mail of "an e-card for you" or " a virtual card for you". It freezes the machine forcing a reboot, at which time it destroys the boot sector. So everyone keep your eyes peeled for this one!!

It's not a bad setup...and kind of scary.... this is just one more reason the macs are superior...they are so hard to script for in comparison, that no one bothers making viruses, or atleast nothing news worthy...LOL... I guess JAMMAN had better getthat AV and firewall quick ;) ( personally I use Norton 2002 and ZoneAlarm Pro) I recommend zone alarm, but I only have norty because I already owned it and got the update from a friend...purely convenience( which says a lot for the software)

PLEASE: Check out www.vmyths.com

It is a great resource for what real and whats hype, as you will see when you look up a virtual card for you!! If we can educate the masses to stop the fake emails about made up viruses then mabey we can worry about the real ones...
