Hi all,just installed a new video card to replace my old one which didn't have DVI. Old card would not allow me to play movies from my new dvd burner,so I went with 4x/8x 128mb agp w/dvi & bought a new 8ms 19" lcd monitor w/dvi option. Having read an article from your site,my system is 100% digital now. Big improvement! Had to reinstall w2000 to get it all working;that's why I had to get new password[kept typing the letters PW in front of old one like I had it wrote down] Sorry about password deal;the discs that came w/new card & monitor didn't work 100%. It was a major pain getting this straightened out,had to get drivers from mfrs. You are correct in "it cannot be overstressed that backup install discs are needful things".My desktop was down 2 days over a video card. Thanks,TSF!
