Hello out there to all you computer smarties:rolleyes:

In trying to access a website that offers a chance to win free books I am sent a box message stating:

"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed."


PLEASE:ermm:Can anybody help as I have tried many different ways and nobody so far seems to be able to assist.

I would much appreciate any help!

Hi Rich...what do you mean by e-mail client? We moved and went to a cable company that provided tv/phone & internet service,so I went with the e-mail service from them and got rid of all the old e-mail addresses. The new server is called Cogeco.ca. Or could you explaing more what you mean?

Email client is what you use for email . . Outlook, Windows Mail, Thunderbird . . ect.

if it is webmail you will not be able to set a default email client and any site that attmpts to do so will result in that message.
