Hi All,

I'm new to the Forum. First a little about me. I'm retired from the Idaho Army National Guard, I was a DBA/SA on a Unix/Oracle system and before that the goto person for the state when it came to PC's and database development in dBase III. For the last five years I've worked for the State of Idaho.

Anyway the issue I'm currently having is that my home PC running Vista became infected with some malware that supposedly scanned my system for malware and then wanted me to purchase it's software for $59.00 to clean it. It had a full blue screen that wouldn't go away and was obviously malware. I ended up taking it in to get rid of it.

They didn't have to reimage the computer but now when I open a webpage, and it doesn't matter what browser it is, the keyboard is disabled if the computer has been on for more than 15 minutes or so. At least that was the case. The last couple of times I've tried to reboot the computer that hasn't worked. I had Symantec's Antivirus program on the system but now have Kaspersky which was what was recommended by the shop I took it too. I've been out of the business too long and took their recommendation on that as they said that was all they sold.

Kaspersky has a virtual keyboard that does work so I'm not totally out of luck.

Anyway, I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks
