Yeah, so I'm only getting sound out of the front two speakers and woofer, and not the other 3 speakers even though the soundblaster card is set to 5.1 surround, and even when I run a surround test in creative diagnostics it plays through all my 5 speakers & woofer, but when I try to use a player like winamp i only get 2.1 sound... any ideas?

Just an FYI, after diagnostics:

Hardware Detection: Pass
Wave Driver: Pass
Midi Driver: Pass
Mixer Driver: Pass
Direct Sound 3D Driver: Pass
Mixer Settings Check: Pass


And I still get output to every speaker during test, but not during any other audio...

Okay, this is an easy fix. Hopefully. It would help if I knew exactly what sound card you had, but if it is fairly new, chances are that it has the right software anyway. Find the Creative EAX Panel menu (should be in the start menu as Creative > Sound Blaster >EAX Console). Click on the CMSS 3D tab. Check the box to enable it, and your problems should be solved. Personally, I use Stereo Surround to make my 2 channel files play over all 5 speakers, but CMSS sounds alright too. CMSS 2 just sounds plain bad. Good luck, and post back.
