So I recently installed a new psu and now my CD Rom will not work.So after I installed a new psu unit I logged onto Windows 7 and tried opening my CD ROM but of course it would not open,so I restart my computer and then clicked on "My Computer" and it said "CD ROM drive F" and "CD ROM D" and "CD ROM E",so I clicked on CD ROM D and it opened,So then I closed the drive and the CD ROM D icon disappeared.So I clicked on CD ROM Drive F and now it says Application failed or something like that..And then I clicked on CD ROM E and it said insert disk,except the CD ROM did not open.I dont know if it is me?the power supply?or if the CD ROM is broken?Can someone help?Thanks!

What brand/wattage is the new PSU.

Are you referring to the PSU or CDROM drive?

You shouldn't have any noise from PSU other than the cooling fan.

The CD ROM is making the static noise,and the PSU is 550watts
