Building a new PC: Started with the intent to overhaul an old gateway PC, it got out of hand
Mobo XFX KT400-ANB
cpu Athlon xp1600
128 ddr
video ATI radeon 9000 ddr
sound onboard
20gb seagate hard drive
dvd-rom (from old pc)
cd-writer
floppy
Also has an ethernet card installed (don't know make-from old pc)
The problem is it boots fine and the memory test goes on, then it tests the ethernet card. I set up the bios according to the mobo book.
Once it boots up it gets to a point and says
MSD: no reply
Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2 Rx2
file server could not be found
Then it reboots by itself.
Could it be the ethernat pci card?
Any advice on how to setup win98se would also be helpful.
Thanks!
