I recently hooked up a new TV with my Xbox 360. I've been reading online on how to fix input lag but NO meathods seem to be working. I was hoping someone could help me out. I have it plugged in via HDMI, it's product number is 32lb9db. PLEASE someone help me. The lag is making it almost impossible to play games. There is no option to turn off TruMotion or anything of the sort.

There is no option with the exception of the usual stuff. Contrast, brightness, tint. The only things I'm noticing that are new to me are Black Levels and Cinema 3:2 mode.

Ok try experimenting with them options,

Black levels me may be processing the already console processed image on your console thereby causing some display between input and effect. Its a long shot but give it a go.

Cinema 3:2 mode sounds like a re-orientation of the aspect ratio, I really don't think there would be any noticeable lag caused by this change but hey I kight be wrong.

Try disable both of them and see if there is any difference.

BTW If anyone is reading this, why would there be different options for contrast and Black levels. Isnt contrast a control, on how dark black levels are?

I tried changing that, but had no luck. I've been experimenting with different settings and had no luck. The only thing I notice is when I change the input label to PC, the screen goes black and comes back. I notice no difference but if it goes black, something obviously happened. I'm still getting an annoying amount of lag.

First of all, can you have a nose about in the settings to see if there is any sort of "gaming mode" or similar setting. If so, try turning that off.

If not, can you list all of the settings in your visual settings menu (excluding colour, contrast, brightness and phase).

Black Levels has something to do with a technology going by the name of "Real Black" or something like that from what I can remember.

If I'm right, it's basically a technology which detects when a pixel is showing black and turns that pixel off (showing true black rather than black light). The setting just dictates what level of blackness would trigger that (as some levels of black could be lighter).

First off, we have:
PICTURE MODE > Intelligent Eye, Dynamic, Standard, Mild, User 1 and User 2
COLOR TEMPERATURE (Can only be changed while in User 1 or 2) > Cool, Medium, Warm, User
XD > Auto/Manual (If manual, XD contrast, XD color, XD noise [on/off])
ADVANCED > Cinema 3:2 Mode [on/off] (Only seems to let me change it when im watching TV), Black Levels [high/low]
ASPECT RATIO > Set my program, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom 1, Zoom 2
PICTURE RESET (Resets to the factory defaults)
SCREEN (It has never allowed to to access or change ANYTHING in this setting. I have no idea what to sub menu is.

BTW There is NO gaming mode or trumotion to modify.

Try using your component video cable instead, and report the results.

Additionally, try using your laptop/computer (or another supported device e.g. PS3) on the TV (via that HDMI cable). Tell us if you see any change with this.

I've tried plugging in my computer and still notice there is a slight input lag, but the component cable is not possible. I need to make a decision today wither to keep this one or not. I would like to if there was a solution, but if not then I can't.

Unfortunately I think this is quite a common problem. My parents bought a new Philips tv a couple of years ago and it has an unplayable amount of input lag. There was no options to reduce and so I just dont game on it. Luckily my parents aren't gamers. I did try multiple HDMI cables and the component cables with no avail. Its a shame really. :(.
