New HDD eating RAM?
Don't know if this is in the right section or not, but just had a quick question.
I installed a 7200 Scorpio Black (320gb) into my MBP replacing the stock 5400 120gb unit. Now when I start my computer, I'm using about a gig of ram at startup. Used to sit around 750mb. Also, when using any programs, the ram usage is a lot higher than before, by around 500mb. The MBP has 4gigs of ram, so I'm not topping it out by any means, but should the larger, faster HDD be eating between 250 and 500 mb of ram?
