I am looking to build a new gaming computer for low cost, since i am in college right now. I currently play on a laptop and get very poor frame rates. I am more of a software person than hardware, so i was looking for some help building a computer. I selected some components that are what i think i need, and was wondering if everything is compatible and if there are better options for anything at a similar price range. Any constructive input would be appreciated, thanks.

I agree with pharoah. All looks good, but you will definitely need to buy a power supply. Follow the link he supplied, and choose a 550W+ from Antec, OCZ, FSP, Seasonic, or Silverstone.

You might also want to look at getting a SATA drive instead of the 80GB ATA you've got listed. SATA drives are usually cheaper these days, and will give you better air flow in your case, as well as being a tiny little bit better in terms of performance.

Other than that, great choices - you should be very happy with that system.

I would look at an ATX board instead of an mATX. And you can get a SATA hard disk for inexpensive now.

I verified that the RAM is compatible with the motherboard on OCZ's website. The total comes out to about $776 without a case.
