Hi,

I am building a new computer. When I went to put it together today and power it on the system boots up for about 3 seconds and then shuts off. I thought it might be the power supply so I put a new one in and it made no differance. As far as I know because I have been through the manual several times that all the componets are compatible. I am running A P4 775 pin, 400GB hard drive and 2 gigs of memory. Any help would be great.

system specs are:

cpu- intel pentium 4, 3.4 ghz, 775 socket, with hyper threading

hard drive- 400 gigabite seagate, 7200 rpm

motherboard- asrock 775 V88

video card- ATI 9600, 256mb.

power supply- 400 watt

look on the label on the side of the ps and post the details of what amps it puts out on each line
check the cpu is seated properly and you have applied the grease correctley

and see if it posts
