Hi, First time poster, and heavy in need of help, as in I'm up to my ankles in... problems
I put this under hardware, as I suspect it to be hardware related.

I have just reinstalled my computer, I felt it's time for a new clean start.
So I installed windows, some basic apps, and drivers. I then tried to connect to my other PC, the server, to copy my work files and projects back, but I couldn't connect.

Everything works super-fine, but my networking.

My LAN and ether-whatever drivers are installed, I even went to the intel site and got that board identifier util to get the correct type, but after trying 3 different drivers involving LAN, still nothing. I've even tried using a network card that I had in my other PC. nothing.

What bothers me the most is that when I dwell into my system settings and properties, I find that the MAC and other adresses are just ... or (blank)

Been in a sitch like this? help...help...

Can anyone please help me?

Uninstall all of the drivers you currently have installed. Use the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer, you can DL them from the manufacturers website or use the installation CD.
